mediDOK® 2.0 – The future has begun
18.07.2007
mediDOK 2.0 was officially launched onto the market during the course of a 2-day sales partner event attended by 60 participants from all over Germany at the Studio Villa Bosch, Heidelberg. Following a review of the very successful years of Version 1.x of the mediDOK® image and document archive, the first day consisted of the presentation of the successor version. First, the new technical features of the software architecture were presented, followed by the new user interface and functionalities of the software, and finally, participants were given the opportunity to get to know the software themselves in the form of practical exercises. This exciting and eventful day was brought to an end with a joint culinary trip through six centuries of history in the Heidelberg old town.
The practical exercises with the software were encouragingly well-attended in a voluntary “Session for early-risers†on the following morning. After an employee of Microsoft Deutschland GmbH had provided the participants with first-hand information on the Microsoft SQL Server 2005, the rest of the day focused mainly on the sales aspects of mediDOK® 2.0. The event finally closed at 13:00, when all those attending sat down to lunch and a lively discussion of the past two days.
Furthermore: mediDOK® 2.0 has been specially developed with regard to new requirements such as tele-medicine, doctors’ networks, medical care centres and distributed locations. New media such as electronic faxes, e-mail and digital video formats can now be integrated into mediDOK just as easily as scanned letters or digital photos. And many other requests from our customers and partners have of course also been taken into account! The new version has been developed under Microsoft .NET. The 3-stage client-server concept with special database management in combination with the Microsoft SQL server ensures maximum security and reliability.
The official sale of mediDOK® 2.0 starts on 15th August 2007. Further information on this subject can be obtained from your mediDOK® sales partner.
